Educational Baby Toys 6-9 mo.
During this age your child will be beginning to sit-up and crawl. Your child will be learning how to explore and how to use his/her hands (Encourage the use of his/her fine and gross motor skills). Because your child is beginning to work with his/her hands, baths are an exciting new adventure. Educational baby toys include sponge balls, rubber ducks, plastic books, and little containers to pour water in. These are all good ideas to help your child learn about the fun and flow of water, the items that do and don't float, and how some items soak up water and squeezed out.
Another sense the child is learning to develop is sound. Banging around on pots and pans (while loud and annoying to you) is a good natural activity for your child to do. Whether homemade or bought from the store, an excellent all-around educational baby toy is a rattle. Rattles will stimulate auditory (hearing), visual (sight), and kinesthetic learning (touch) all at the same time. At the same time your child will be experiencing lots of entertainment. Lullabies and poetry are also good for your child because he/she loves hearing your voice.
Going outside is a very good choice especially when the weather is beautiful and there is plenty of sunshine. When you take your child outside to play make sure you have something soft to sit on and your child has bright, fun toys to play with.
Some good ideas of toys would be soft little animals, pieces of cloth, and a rattle or two. Books are always a nice and relaxing option to read outside in the warm sun. Spending time with your child is what will make the biggest impact while they are growing up.
